Jason File is a native New Mexican who started in the construction industry in 1988. Jason was first introduced to the field as a summer laborer on his father’s (30-year-old family business at the time) jobsites then worked as a carpenter apprentice through high school and while attending college at the University of New Mexico. Jason attended UNM to study engineering and business. After attending the University his career at Les File Drywall had started. Before starting his own companies, he worked on many construction projects in the desert where he gained experience in Project Coordination, Estimating, and Drafting & Design. Utilizing the skills and experiences he acquired both in school and in his professional career. He had an eye for construction and therefore experienced many successful jobs under his guidance, the marks of Jason’s work can be seen across New Mexico. Projects such as, New Mexico Federal Court House, Intel Fab 11X, Sandia Casino, and Santa Ana Star Events Center. Since then, the company has continued to grow and evolve into one of the largest dry-wall subcontracting companies in the New Mexico. As a subcontractor, Les File Dry-Wall & File Construction, Inc. offer their clients a business partner who will cooperate and ease as part of the entire bid process; including pre-construction concerns, development of construction budgets and production schedules, management of employees and cooperating with government entities-rules and regulations and the finalization of all projects on the most time and cost-effective schedule as possible.
Jason has been a board member of the National American Subcontractors Association (NASA) since 1999 where he served as the local associations president from 2013 to 2014. Since 2002 where he served as the associations chairman for Painters and Allied Trades Local Union 823 Health and Welfare Trust Fund. He also serves as board member for the New Mexico chapter of Plasters and Cement Masons Pension Fund Association. File Construction and Les File Dry-Wall’s many achievements include the 2006 Subcontractor of the Year, the 2006 NSCA Project of the Year Award for the Sandia Casino and the 2007 NSCA Project of the Year Award for The Santa Ana Star Casino Events Center project.
